Chemotherapy

When a patient has to receive chemotherapy, we go to great lengths to make sure we make this important process as easy and comfortable as possible.  Our chemotherapy area is furnished with La-Z-Boy recliners and stocked with sodas, coffee and snacks for our patients to enjoy.  To make treatments go by faster, we encourage patients to bring a friend or relative with them also. 

Our chemotherapy area also boasts an Entertainment Center, where patients can choose from over 100 DVD's to watch on one of our portable DVD players, a library of books, novels and magazines and handheld games.

Before starting chemo in our office, patients are scheduled for a visit to meet with one of our chemotherapy nurses, Susan Davies RN or Morgan Morrison RN, who will explain the process of receiving treatments and answer any questions you may have.  Also, during this visit, one of the members of our business office, Sandy Cheek or Amy McAteer, will go over your insurance benefits with you and make you aware of the cost of your treatment.  They will also answer any questions you may have or help you with obtaining assistance with the cost of your treatment, if it is necessary.

Since July 2006, our patient rooms have been outfitted with the latest in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) technology.  This ensures that your private health information is kept confidential.
